Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress and singer. Her parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. She was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. She is from Polish heritage (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's talent for entertainment was found at a young age. She went to her audition in 1992 and got an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she was cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. In the same year she began taking training in private acting. Bell was in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a part of the drama and musical clubs of Shrine Catholic High School. When her school staged a stage production The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell was then transferred into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell left studying in the year 2001 and took on the part of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her first credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. However the film cut her character from the film, and she only appears in the credits. Bell made an appearance with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
